Cathy L. Naugle offers decades of successful representation in family law including child custody and divorce.
Ms. Naugle’s experience as a former Ada County, Idaho family law judge provides her clients with a unique insight into how to best present their legal issues to the Court.
Ms. Naugle received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho School of Law in 1980. She spent the first several years of her legal career as a general practitioner in small firms. She then accepted a position as a referee for the Idaho Industrial Commission from 1986 through 1988, deciding unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.
In 1988, after passing a successfully passing a survey of her fellow Ada County, Idaho attorneys, she was appointed as an Ada County, Idaho magistrate judge by a commission of community leaders and lay persons. During her judicial tenure she presided over hundreds of family court cases for the Fourth Judicial District Court of Ada County, Idaho.
In 1994 Ms. Naugle returned to private practice, focusing exclusively on family law as a litigator and a court-approved mediator. She has practiced exclusively in the field of family law since that time.
Ms. Naugle is a member of the American Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar Association, and the American Association and Family Conciliation Courts. She is a past member of the Evidence and Continuing Legal Education Committees of the Idaho State Bar. She has presented at continuing education seminars sponsored by the Idaho Judiciary and the Idaho State Bar.
